This painting depicts a silhouette girl and grim reaper walking towards the moon. The girl being with the grim reaper shows she is dying and the pair is walking towards the afterlife. The girl leaves behind flower petals to mark her trail and these petals communicate that she will not be lost and be able to find her way back to her home eventually.
