The painting uses drips caused by watercolor paint to create a background of raincloud. The painting depicts a girl with her eyes covered on top of a background of rain clouds. The rain clouds in the painting are meant to represent a storm of sadness that has befallen the girl, while the cloud over her eye is meant to show that all she can see is her sadness.
