The painting depicts a black vase that holds crumbling red and black flowers. On the vase are bright colorful stickers that contradict the rest of the painting's somber mood. These stickers are meant to represent a bit of warmth and light in a dark and cold place. The crumbling roses represent death and the thought of someone not being around to protect you anymore. The wetness of the rose and vase is supposed to represent tears for those who have passed while also adding to the coldness of the scene.
