This painting features colorful pieces of construction paper glued throughout the canvas. The painting splits itself into two different sections through the use of colors. The gray and black section represents the harshness of reality, while the colorful blue part of the painting represents childlike imagination. The child drawn in the middle of the two sections represents a balance of both reality and fantasy which is needed to live a happy life.
